A woman was found murdered in her rented room in Gurgaon on February 23. Police sources revealed on Tuesday that she was first raped and then killed by five men last week. Two out of the five suspected killers have been arrested.
Police said that the 28-year-old widow hailed from West
Bengal’s Darjeeling and used to work in pubs and bars on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road.
She was murdered in Chakkarpur area on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road owing to a monetary dispute with the accused. However, the motive behind the murder has not been ascertained yet. Cops also revealed that she had been living with the boys for 10-15 days prior to the murder.
The incident took place when the deceased was having drinks at the rented room with the boys and suddenly entered a quarrel. The neighbours reported that they heard noises.
The five men started brutally beating her which was proved through her post-mortem reports.
“A post-mortem by a board of doctors revealed she was raped. She was beaten to death by five men. She also had marks of injuries on her face and body. According to the reports, her ribs were broken and the back side of the head as a major fracture,” said Ashok Kumar, in charge of Sector 29 police station.
Police said it received information from the owner of the rented room about the body.
Two accused Gabbar and Nitish, both aged about 25 and residents of Gurgaon villages, have been arrested whereas three other accused are absconding, Kumar added.
