The family members of Jagmohan Dalmiya, who was the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India and Cricket Association of Bengal, raised questions over the medical negligence when he was admitted at BM Birla Hospital here. Dalmiya’s family members have also planned to take some legal action against the hospital administration.
Dalmiya’s daughter Vaishali Dalmiya alleged, “I think my father died due to some medical negligence. I have asked for the video recording of his operation. After getting <g data-gr-id="18">it</g> I will consult with my family members before taking <g data-gr-id="17">further</g> step.”
After knowing the matter, several CAB officials including the well-wishers of Dalmiya came forward in support of Vaishali. However, after the death of Dalmiya, the hospital administration has refused to reveal any information about the matter. When a local newspaper contacted the medical director Anil Misra (who was attending Dalmia) over <g data-gr-id="21">phone</g>, he rubbished all allegations and said that there was no medical negligence.
It is to be mentioned that few years ago Tollywood’s renowned director Anjan Choudhury also died in the same hospital. In his case too, the hospital was blamed for its medical negligence.
