Greater Noida: Mystery shrouds over the demise of a 35-year-old man, reported to be assigned for the Prime Minister’s security, who was found dead in his camp in the Bisrakh area of Greater Noida on Wednesday morning.

The police said that the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) personnel, Sanjay Kumar, was reported to have died by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in his room. Though it appears to be a case of suicide, the police are keen on investigating the matter from other angles. No suicide note has been recovered from his barrack, yet.

According to the police, the incident took place around 9:30 am when the CRPF persons, living in a camp in the Suthiana village of the area, informed them of the incident.

The police reached the spot and the victim was rushed to Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida, where he
was declared brought dead. His colleagues informed that Sanjay, after finishing his night duty, came to the camp and headed towards his room to take rest. When his friends approached him, his body was found hanging by a towel. Sanjay was a resident of Bhiwadi in Rajasthan.

“We have informed the family members after sending the body for post-mortem. This is a serious issue and we are conducting a detailed probe despite it appearing to be a suicide case. We have been scanning his call details and are questioning others people too. As we have not yet recovered a suicide note, things will become clear only after the post-mortem report. Once his family members come, we will get more information,” said Brajesh Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police (Rural), Greater Noida.
