IAS officer Sanjay Pratap Singh and his personal assistant were on Wednesday sent to one-day CBI custody by a Delhi court. Singh and his personal assistant Ramesh Kumar were produced before Special CBI Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna and CBI sought seven days police remand of both the accused saying that they were required to be interrogated to ascertain whether other persons were also involved. Meanwhile, CBI on Wednesday recovered 31 gold bars, weighing 3.20 kilograms and worth over Rs 82 lakh, from one of the five lockers of Singh. CBI sources claimed that so far, documents related to eight properties in posh areas like Safdarjung Enclave, Sector 56 in Gurgaon, Noida and even Greater Noida worth Rs 20 crore have been recovered.
