Court records statements of two cops

A Delhi court on Saturday recorded the testimonies of two police officials as prosecution witnesses in the Uber cab rape case in which a 25-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by the driver last month.

Additional Sessions Judge Kaveri Baweja recorded the statements of woman sub-inspector Alma Minj, the initial investigating officer of the case, and sub-inspector Sandeep, who had seized 32-year-old Shiv Kumar Yadav’s car in which the alleged incident took place. The woman official, in her examination-in-chief by Special Public Prosecutor Atul Shrivastava, said at around 1.30 AM on Decemebr 6, 2014 after receiving an information about the incident, she had gone to the house of
the victim in Inderlok here and recorded her statement.

She said she had noticed injuries on the victim’s body and she along with other officials had taken her to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital for her medical examination and the woman’s mother had also gone with them.
