A Delhi court today recorded statements of three police officials as prosecution witnesses in a case, in which rights activist Irom Sharmila is facing trial for allegedly trying to commit suicide during her fast-unto-death at Jantar Mantar in 2006.
Metropolitan Magistrate Akash Jain recorded testimonies of inspector Subhash, assistant sub-inspector Pal Singh, who was head constable at the Parliament Street Police Station at the time of the incident and constable Kapil.
The court fixed the case for tomorrow for recording evidence of other witnesses.
