On the complaint of a man, who alleged that a woman had extorted money from him after implicating the victim in false case of stalking, a court asked Delhi police to register a FIR against the woman.
The complainant, Naveen Kumar, a resident of Delhi and a pharmacist by trade, had approached the court alleging that on the night of 30 March, 2013, the woman had taken away his gold chain and Rs 5,000 cash after issuing threats.
The chief metropolitan magistrate (CMM) Sonu Agnihotri was informed by the police in its status report that the woman has filed 10 cases against various persons and some FIRs have also been registered against her. ‘I am of the view that application of the complainant deserves to be allowed. SHO, Police Station Kalyan Puri, is directed to file an FIR on the basis of contents of complaint addressed to DCP East under relevant provisions of law,’ said the court.
The man further alleged that he would also receive phone calls on behalf of the woman demanding Rs 50,000 and threatened of falsely implication in other criminal cases.
