A Delhi court has allowed 16 December gang rape convict Vinay to appear for exams required to qualify for a clerical job. He is also facing trial for their alleged involvement in a robbery case.

Court was scheduled to start recording of statements from all accused, but posted it for 7 March. During the hearing, accused Vinay Sharma’s counsel AP Singh moved a plea.

The plea sought the court’s permission to appear for an examination on 9 March for a government job as a lower divisional clerk (LDC), to which additional sessions judge Daya Prakash gave consent.
