Cops strip woman on suspicion in Ujjain

Male cops of the government railway police (GRP) at Ujjain forced a woman to strip on suspicion that she might have stolen gold pendants from fellow passengers in the general coach of Indore-Ratlam passenger train.  It is learnt that five women passengers complained to GRP that their ornaments were stolen from the general coach when the train reached Ujjain railway station at around 11 am.

When the passengers reached GRP station at platform No 1, they saw a youth accompanied with a woman who was travelling with them. The women got hold of him alleging that he was the thief.

However, the youth claimed that his sister’s ornament was also missing and they have come for filing a report.

The GRP staff present there, asked the brother-sister to strip. Surprisingly, the woman had to remove her saree in the presence of at least 8-10 male cops. No stolen articles were found from them.
