Cops bust an ‘educated’ gang of highway robbers

Ghaziabad police on Tuesday busted a gang of dreaded highway robbers who target truant school students to increase their strength. The police on Tuesday arrested three members of the, one of them a B Tech- first year drop-out, and two others who are school dropouts. The kingpin of the gang is still however absconding.

'The three members of the dreaded Bholu gang which is now known as Bholu & Akhilesh Gang in the area,' said Nitin Tiwari, senior superintendent of police, Ghaziabad. ‘The gang targets truant teenage students in the area and trains them in crime,' added Tiwari.

Among the arrested youths are, Ankit Jaat who is the only son of a CISF inspector posted in Kolkata. The gang would  overtake cars on highways and rob the commuters on gunpoint said Tiwari.
