A constable was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his home on Tuesday night, in outer district’s Mangolpuri. Prima facie states that the victim had consumed poison which led to his death. But the police are waiting for the postmortem report to establish the cause of the death.
Joginder, 43, a resident of Pitampura’s Police Lines was posted in the Reserve Battalion. On Tuesday, late night, he was found unconscious on his bed.
The other officials raised an alarm and took the victim immediately to Bhagwan Mahavir hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
According to the police officials, he was supposedly depressed for the last few days, and did not take his meals properly.
‘We suspect that he might have consumed poison, or something else,’ said a police official.
‘There were no injury marks on the victim’s body. We are waiting for the postmortem reports to come before drawing any conclusion’ said a police official. ‘We are probing further into the case,’ added the official.
