Congress delegation asks Najeeb Jung to protect guest teachers, home guards
A delegation of the Delhi Pradesh Congress, led by its chief, Arvinder Singh Lovely, on Thursday met Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung, demanding that over 10,000 guest teachers and over 4000 Home Guard jawans should not be removed from their jobs.
Najeeb Jung assured Congress leaders that the government will take a suitable decision in these matters soon and the administration will render nobody jobless.
It is interesting to note that the Congress-led Sheila Dikshit government did not pay heed to the concerns of contractual guest teachers. The AAP-led government had constituted a high level committee on 28 January to look into the matter.
