The Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corp (DSIIDC) is organising a conference to strengthen economic cooperation between Indian and Russia.
The two-day event titled Days of Moscow will be held from 26 to 28 October. Besides the business forum, it will also see cultural, literary and fashion events.
‘DSIIDC is organising a business forum on 26 October, in which renowned business representatives of the countries will interact to identify sectors for enhance cooperation,’ a DSIIDC spokesperson said in a statement.
Relations between India and Russia are strategic in nature, characterised by friendship, mutual trust and confidence, the statement said.
Delhi Minister of Industries Haroon Yusuf and a Russian Minister Cheremin Sergey will be the chief guests during the business forum.
A fashion show will also be organised by Valentin Yudashkin, a renowned Russian designer on Sunday. ‘A vibrant canvas of Russian fashion will be showcased during the show,’ the spokesman added.
Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit had visited Russia in 2002 and signed a joint statement with the Mayor of Moscow to have mutual cooperation in fields of common interest, the statement added.
