Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana— Ambala, erstwhile known as Maharishi Markandeshwar Education Trust, was founded with the objective of social, educational and economic upliftment of society in the year 1993. It has become a symbol of quality education in technical, professional and medical streams in northern India and has been carrying on its lineage for over 18 years. These institutes are also approved by the regulatory bodies like Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, Indian Nursing Council, Indian Association of Physiotherapists, and All India Council for Technical Education etc.
MMU MULLANA
MM University at Mullana is the oldest and the flagship campus of the MM University Trust. Established in 1995, MM Engineering College was the first amongst the long chain of educational institutions under MM University Trust. Just as the college expanded horizontally in size, it also rose vertically, acquiring the post graduate courses in engineering, science and humanities, attaining the peak with the introduction of medical college. The institute was declared a deemed university by the UGC in 2007. The world-class sprawling 75 hectare university campus today houses a multi-specialty hospital with Out Patient Department (OPD) and emergency services. The constituent institutions of the University are MM Engineering College, MM Institute of Computer Technology and Business Management (MCA), MM College of Dental Sciences and Research, MM Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, MM Institute of Computer Technology and Business Management (Hotel Management), MM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, MM Institute of Management, MM College of Nursing, MM College of Pharmacy, MM Institute of Nursing, and Department of Law.
MMU SOLAN
Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan, is spread over an area of 47 acres on Chandigarh-Shimla National Highway at Sultanpur Road, Solan. Established as a multi faculty university in 2009, the university has been operational with admissions to School of Medical Sciences, School of Engineering and Technology, School of Computer Technology and School of Business Management.
MMU AMBALA
As a part of its expansion programme, the MM University Trust has developed another 40 acre campus at Sadopur on Delhi-Chandigarh National Highway near Ambala for providing professional education to the people of the surrounding region.
Beginning with graduate and post-graduate courses in Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Business Management and Computer Technology from the 2010-11 session, it also offers M.Phil programmes to qualitatively enhance the research skills. In the coming years the Sadopur campus plans to begin programmes in medical sciences, dental sciences, nursing, fashion technology, etc.

The training and placement activities of all institutions under MMUT are coordinated at a joint placement cell of the university. A dedicated team of members relentlessly makes sincere efforts to create corporate contacts. More than 300 companies have visited various institutions of MMU for on-campus placements.

The Maharishi Markandeshwar University Trust (MMUT) has several firsts to its credit. It opened the first self-financing Engineering College, Medical College and Deemed University in Haryana. MM Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology was the first private hotel management college to be established in State of Haryana. It has received top ranking in various surveys conducted by accredited agencies. Internationally, it has won the NASA System Engineering Award and has been accredited as a premier institute by ASIC, UK.
