Coast Guard on Wednesday clarified that there was only one Pakistani boat, which is already seized along with 8 crew while ferrying narcotics in international waters off Gujarat coast, and said the other boat spotted along with it could be from India for receiving the illicit consignment.
"There is an air about the second Pakistani boat (but) there is nothing like that (second boat). They must have been the receiving party from India and not from Pakistan, who must have fled seeing the operation (the joint operation of Navy and the Coast Guard on Monday)," Inspector General (Coast Guard), North-West Command, Kuldeep Singh Sheoran said on Wednesday.
He was responding to a query on spotting of the second boat along with the seized boat which was intercepted while carrying 233 kgs of narcotics.
