Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday visited Delhi Police Headquarters where he reviewed the functioning of the force and gave his suggestions to improve law and order, especially women security in the city.
Kejriwal, who spent nearly three hours at PHQ was accompanied by deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
During the visit, he was given a detailed presentation by Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi about the different aspects of policing in the city and some of the modern technologies which are being utilised by the force. He was also given a tour of the C4i (Integrated Command, Control and Coordination Centre) and control room of the force and briefed about their working.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Kejriwal said that he was “more than happy” with the way Delhi Police was functioning and assured all support from the Delhi government. “The way Delhi Police are using modern technology, I am very much hopeful that it would do it’s best and only then people of Delhi would live a secure and peaceful life,” he said.
