CM flags off two cluster buses

Passengers from south, central and old Delhi will now be able to avail the services of the Delhi transit buses. The buses on route number 403 and 445 were flagged off by Dikshit on Tuesday.  The buses will operate under cluster-2 with six buses in each route.  This will take the total number of buses to 501. The bus number 403 will start from Okhla Extension (Abul Fazal Enclave) and ply via Ashram Chowk  to Old Delhi railway station. The bus number 445 will start from DDA Flat Kalkaji Alaknanda, pass through Moolchand and Pragati Maidan and terminate at New Delhi railway station. Delhi transit buses are equipped with GPS, internal audio-visual announcement of approaching bus stops and electronic ticketing machines. The route and destination of each bus will be displayed externally on three electronic boards on the front, rear and on the left hand side of the bus respectively.
