Closure of colony road: South Ext-I residents move High Court

Residents of South Extension part I and nearby colonies on Wednesday moved the Delhi High Court expressing concern about the permanent closure of a road which they claim is the only direct means for them to access AIIMS, Safadarjung hospital and the nearby INA Metro station.

A Bench of Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice Jayant Nath issued notice to the Centre, AAP government and National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC) and sought their responses on the plea which also seeks removal of trucks and construction material and equipment from the road, Veer Chandra Singh Garwahli Marg.
