Close to cracking Vivek Vihar murder, police claim

Four people including a woman have been detained in connection with the murder of a businessman and his three employees in Vivek Vihar on Tuesday.
Refusing to divulge the name of the detained, the people police said they are very close to cracking the case. ‘Our investigations are on the right track and the case will be solved soon,’ a police officer said.

Businessman Bajrang Lal Bokadia, 66, his 40-year-old driver Vinod Dubey, 35-year-old cook Bhola Singh and 18-year-old domestic help Anand were found dead inside the businessman’s ground floor house at Vivek Vihar in east Delhi on Monday morning.

Bokadia was found gagged, his hands and legs tied to a chair and his throat slit. The bodies were found by Bokadia’s associate Subhash Sethia, who had come to meet the businessman at around 8 am. Sethia found the main gate of the house open. Upon entering the house, he saw the bodies and called the police.
‘The CCTV footage of the area where the house is located is being examined and the security guards of the locality have been questioned, further investigation is in process,’ said a senior police official.
