CISF stops running Metro train to recover Rs 1.6 lakh cash bag

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon at around 3.11 pm on the Noida City Metro station after a Madhya Pradesh resident R K Tiwari (40 years) informed CISF men manning the area that someone has picked his bag containing the said cash from the X-ray baggage screening machine while he was getting himself frisked.

The CISF immediately checked the CCTV control room of the Delhi Metro and found a person taking the bag with him and quickly boarding the train.

‘The sub-inspector informed the CISF control room where the CCTV footage was verified and a man picking up the bag identified,’ CISF spokesperson Hemendra Singh said.

‘As the man had boarded a Metro train, we asked the driver to stop. The accused, Jaspal, was apprehended and handed over to Noida Police. The bag with the money was recovered,’ Singh said.

The train was identified, a senior CISF officer said, and it’s driver was contacted over the wireless system to stop the locomotive, after which the suspect who is a resident of Tagore Garden in the national capital was apprehended.

Similarly, a theft of a mobile phone was also solved by CISF personnel with the help of CCTV footage, at the same station few days back.

Meanwhile on Friday evening, constable Suraj Mohite of CISF deployed for CCTV surveillance at Noida Metro Station, noticed a lady stepping down on the Metro track from platform and moving towards the tunnel suspiciously intension. Immediately, other CISF personnel rushed to the spot and caught the lady. She said she was a call centre employee at Janakpuri and was upset for being removed from the job. She was very disappointed and she wanted to commit suicide.
