Delhi Police detained a 23-year-old youth from Badaun, Uttar Pradesh for allegedly carrying ten live rounds of bullets in his bag. CISF apprehended Yadav when they came to know that there were 8mm calibre rifle bullets in his bag which was undergoing scanning at the machine at the Anand Vihar Metro station on Sunday evening. According to the police, the incident came to light at around 5 pm at the Anand Vihar Metro station where the youth identified as Prem Pal Yadav, a native of Shyamli district in UP was apprehended by the CISF officials who came to know through the scanning machine that Yadav was carrying 10 live rounds of 315 bore in his bag. He was handed over to the Delhi Police for questioning.
A senior police officer said, “He was been detained. He is being questioned. In the preliminary investigation, it has come to light that he runs s a small snacks stall in Gurgaon. Further investigation is on.” Meanwhile, senior CISF officials said that Yadav was handed over to the Delhi Police as he was not carrying valid documents.
