Continuing with its tradition of bringing out children’s literature par excellence, the Publications Division organised a discussion on Hindi Bal Patrikaon ka Paridrishya on 27 August during the on-going 20th Delhi Book Fair at Pragati Maidan in the Capital.

Eminent authors of children’s literature - Ramesh Tailang, Devendra Kumar, Devendra Mewari and Yogendra Dutta Sharma participated in the discussion. Ira Joshi, Addl. Director General, Publications Division spoke about the contribution of the children’s  magazine Bal Bharti in promoting Children’s literature in the country.  

The Publications Division has also brought out books like Winged Wonders of Rashtrapati Bhawan and Indra Dhanush under its Rashtrapati Bhawan Series and India – A Reference Annual.The Publications Division has been participating in the Delhi Book Fair since its inception. Book lovers can get introduced to other titles of the Publications Division which range from art, history, culture, biographies of eminent persons, land and people, flora and fauna, children’s literature, science and technology and Gandhian literature. Another major attraction at the fair will be the Journals brought out by the Division which include Yojana, Kurukshetra, Aajkal and Bal Bharati catering to different sections of the society. The publication has more than 8000 titles to its credit in English, Hindi and regional languages, in its 71 years of literary journey.
