The Delhi police registered a cheating case against Piyush Builders last month on the basis of a complaint made by two Kalkaji residents.
Police officials said that complainants Amrik Singh and Dalel Singh booked a 300-yard plot in 2006 in Piyush City, which the builder claimed that they are building in Palwal area. The complainant made an initial payment of Rs 3 lakhs in 2006 and then in 2008 paid another Rs 3 lakhs to the builder. In 2012 Piyush Builders allotted a plot of 181 yards to the complainants instead of 300.
As a result, the complainants approached the police but the cops didn’t pay heed to their case. Later they went to the court, which ordered the Sarita Vihar police station to register a case in connection with the matter.
