CBI registers preliminary enquiry into MP Guv’s son death

CBI on Monday registered a preliminary enquiry into <g data-gr-id="16">mysterious</g> death of Madhya Pradesh Governor’s son Shailesh Yadav, a suspect in Vyapam scam. The probing agency also registered three more FIRs into alleged corruption in the conduct of examinations and recruitment tests conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board known as Vyapam.

With Monday’s three <g data-gr-id="14">FIRs</g> the total number of FIRs registered by CBI reached 56.

The CBI registered a case against eight persons for alleged cheating by impersonation in <g data-gr-id="15">Pre Medical</g> Test, 2004 while the second FIR is against eleven persons for impersonating as candidates during PMT, 2005 and helping to secure admission in MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) courses. CBI registered <g data-gr-id="18">third</g> case on allegations of cheating by personation in Constable Recruitment Examination, 2012 against seven persons, <g data-gr-id="19">agency</g> spokesperson said here on Monday. “On the directions of Supreme Court of India, CBI has taken over the investigation of the said FIRs which were earlier registered by the Madhya Pradesh Police. Further process of taking over of remaining cases is under way,” she said.
