The special CBI court of Ghaziabad on Tuesday rejected Rajesh and Nupur Talwar's request to fast track the cross examination of 13 main witnesses in the case.

'The proceedings of the court will be performed in the decided sequence,' said S Lal, the Additional Session's Judge (ADJ) for CBI in the Ghaziabad court. The Talwars's lawyers had moved the petition before the court to fast track the cross examination as the Supreme Court in its decision on 13 August had rejected the bail application of Nupur Talwar saying that it will not be allowed till the cross examination of 13 main witnesses would be completed in the trial court.

Nupur Talwar is presently lodged in Dasna Jail of Ghaziabad and her lawyers had moved this application to get her released at the earliest. According to sources it will take over three months to complete the cross examination of around 140 witness in the trial court.
