Congress MP Vijay Darda who is facing prosecution in a coal blocks allocation scam case has claimed before a special court on Friday that CBI’s chargesheet against him was ‘silent’ on whom he had tried to induce to give the block to accused firm Nagpur-based AMR Iron and Steel Pvt Ltd.

Advancing arguments on framing of charges before Special CBI Judge Bharat Parashar, the counsel for Darda said that CBI’s chargesheet does not mention the manner in which he had allegedly cheated.

Lawyer Vijay Aggarwal, who appeared on behalf of Darda, too argued that it was not mentioned in the chargesheet as to whom was accused trying to induce. ‘The chargesheet should be clear in what manner I (Darda) have cheated. It does not state whom (public servant) I was trying to induce.
Public servants will say whom I was trying to influence him but they (CBI) have not brought them here,’ he said.
