Ranchi: Moving ahead towards its goal of inclusive growth, Central Coalfields Limited during a function organised on Saturday at its Ranchi headquarter handed over 101 appointment letters to dependents of its employees who laid down their life during their service in the company.
As a responsible public undertaking, CCL under the dynamic leadership of its CMD Gopal Singh has been continuously working for the holistic development and inclusive growth of society and the nation through its various welfare schemes and has tasted several successes too. CCL has been providing employment opportunities both directly and indirectly to the youth of Jharkhand, especially the project affected families under various provisions. In continuation of the above, under the National Coal Wage Agreement's para 9.3.0, Chief Guest CCL CMD Gopal Singh handed over the appointment letters to the dependents of the coal personnel, who laid their life during their tenure in various units of CCL.
Director (Personnel) R S Mahapatro, Director Technical (Planning/Project) Bhola Singh, JCSC Board Members, Welfare Board Members, Safety Board Members, General Manager, Head of the Department including large number of CCL employees and family members of dependents were also present during the functions.
Recalling the sacrifices of the coal employees, Gopal Singh, said that today is a very significant day as we are honouring our commitment to work for the well-being of members of CCL family. Inspiring the newly joined appointees Singh said that no work is small, but it's only our attitude towards the work that belittles it. "Therefore, we should perform our duty with utmost sincerity and dedication," he said.
"We must never forget the fact that reputation of the company is built by our work, so we should always try to give our best to the company," the CMD said. Singh told the new appointees that the company in which you are all going to contribute is not only producing coal but through its versatile welfare schemes in the areas of health, education, sports, skill development, drinking water, is working to bring social transformation.
Singh informed that the orientation programme for the new appointees will be conducted and posting will be given to them according to their aptitude and qualifications.
Speaking on the occasion, Director (Personnel) R S Mahapatro said that this is nothing less than a festival for us, which will be an example for others to follow.
