BSF man dies in mishap

A Border Security Force (BSF) head constable died in a road mishap in Mehrauli, on Sunday night. ‘The 45-year-old, who had served the organisation for more than 20 years, died after a truck rammed into his bike. The truck driver has been arrested,’ said a police official.

‘The incident was reported on Sunday night, around 9.30 pm, when Jai Singh,  a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, was returning home on his motorcycle,’ he said.

‘As he reached near Chattarpur red light in south Delhi, a speeding truck bearing Haryana number rammed into his bike,’ said an eye witness. Singh was declared dead on arrival to All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS).

Delhi Police have registered a case of negligent driving causing death against the errant truck driver.
