BSE’s currency derivatives volume crosses Rs 2,000 cr per day

Premier stock exchange BSE Ltd on Friday said trading volume in its currency derivatives has crossed the Rs 2,000 crore mark. BSE attains a remarkable trading volume of Rs 2,064.25 crore in a single-day in its currency derivative segment, a statement issued here said. BSE launched currency derivative segment on 28 November.

In a mere 45 days, BSE has been successful in achieving a Rs 2,000-crore turnover per day with a market share of almost 20 per cent in this segment, the release said.
