Two minor girls who allegedly fled their homes in East Delhi’s Anand Vihar area were allegedly gang-raped by two brothers in Bareilly for over a period of 10 days. According to the police, both the accused have been arrested and the girls, who are cousins, have been reunited with their families. The accused have been identified as Nitansh Gaur and Pritansh Gaur.

The incident came to light when the parents of the two girls, aged 15 and 17, registered a complaint of kidnapping in the Anand Vihar police station on June 10. Sources said that the girls had allegedly run away from their homes as they were not happy with their parents. They went to Anand Vihar bus terminus in the evening and boarded a random bus. The bus was going to Bareilly and next day they reached the Bareilly bus terminus.

At the bus stand they were spotted by two brothers in their twenties who offered to help them and took the duo to their house. The brothers, who are into event management, asked the girls to stay with them at their house and then started raping them every day, said sources.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police, who have been searching for the missing girls, traced their location to Bareilly through phone surveillance technique. After the location of the girls was ascertained, a raid was executed with the help of local police in which the two brothers were nabbed and the girls were freed.

As the girls were minors, a case of rape has been registered against the brothers under POCSO Act in Anand Vihar police station.
