Around 500 have gone there from my country Britain, and one of them almost certainly brutally murdered two American journalists and a British aid worker.’’

ISIS holds more western hostages and has pledged to kill them subsequently including British photo journalist John Cantlie and Peter Kassig, a US  aid worker. Recently, foreign secretary Philip Hammond admitted ‘We don’t know where he is. We have considered every possible option to support these kidnap victims - both British and others - and if we knew where they were, it would be a different story but we don’t know where they are’. According to Cameron ‘ISIL is not a problem restricted to just one region. It has murderous plans to expand its borders.’
