Luis Suarez played a brilliant game of football against the Magpies at home as Liverpool held Newcastle 1-1 to share points.

Yohan Cabaye put Newcastle ahead in the 43rd minute despite the Magpies being on the back foot for the majority of the first half, but the Uruguayan made sure the Reds took a hard-fought point with an absolute peach.Rahim Sterling too played brightly to continue his good campaign.

Earlier, Queens Park Rangers and Reading played a 1-1 draw as both teams are yet to get a win in this year’s EPL campaign.

Manchester City was held to a 0-0 draw by West Ham on Saturday, remaining third in the Premier League standings after failing to take advantage of Chelsea’s earlier slip-up.

Man City dominated possession and territory at Upton Park, particularly after halftime, but West Ham was denied a goal to captain Kevin Nolan in the fourth minute because of a dubious offside decision.

City remain the only unbeaten team but would have relegated last-round leader Chelsea to third with a victory after the European champions drew 1-1 at Swansea. West Ham is only two points out of the Champions League places.
