The senior police officials privy to investigation said that a month ago, the duo befriended each other on Facebook and exchanged mobile numbers.

Since then, the woman allegedly used to have sexual conversations. From the last few days, she was pressurising the 17-year-old boy who is a Class XI student and a resident of Krishangar, to meet him in a hotel to have physical relationship.

Quoting the transcript of the WhatsApp conversation between the duo, senior police official said: “When the boy refused to meet her in a hotel giving an excuse of shortage of money, the woman asked him that she will pay off all the bills.

Later, the boy told her that he is a minor and had never indulged in such activities as yet then the woman told her that she will also buy a protection to have safe sex. The boy then agreed and on Sunday they took a room in a hotel in Vasant Kunj.”

After engaging in a physical relation with him, the woman locked herself in the room. Later, she made a call to the police alleging rape. Initially, a case was registered at Vasant Kunj (North) police station and the minor was booked for raping her. Further, during investigation, the boy showed all the conversations he had with the woman and the hotel bill that was paid off by the woman.

After giving his statement, he too registered a case under under sections of  Protection of  Children from Sexual  Offences (POCSO) Act accusing the woman of raping him. Till late Monday, police did not arrest anyone as they suspect that the case might be that of a honey trapping.
