BJP wonders if it has become Kejriwal’s B team

Update: 2012-10-16 00:45 GMT
Activist turned politician Arvind Kejriwal recently said that Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party have now turned into B team of IAC, though both the political parties dismissed his statement, BJP however, is a worried lot these days.  Kejriwal over a period of time and since he announced his plans of launching a political party has been hogging the media limelight be it the corruption issue or taking up local issues like inflated electricity bills in Delhi.

BJP while officially does not perceive him as a threat, privately BJP leaders do concede that the activist turned politician has highjacked the issues of their party and is turning into a star aided by the media. After being pushed into the state of oblivion on the corruption issue, BJP had managed to revive itself some what by stalling the parliament on coalgate and also raising the issue on the streets. However, Kejriwal again managed to blunt BJP’s attack by exposing the dubious land deals of Vadra and also launched a full frontal attack on misappropriation of funds by Khurshid’s NGO.

‘Kejriwal’s might play the role of a spoiler and he can divide the anti-congress vote,’ said a BJP leader, when asked about the impact of Kejriwal’s political party in the next assembly elections in Delhi. The seriousness with which Kejriwal is now being taken in the BJP can be understood from the fact, that the Delhi unit of the party had to hold a press con on the national stage after Kejriwal used BJP’s platform to attack the party on the electricity bills. The BJP leaders however, say that Kejriwal is no threat for them and as of now he has failed to act on any of the issue that has been raised by him.
