BJP road show interrupted by AAP workers

Update: 2013-11-14 23:23 GMT
The road show was being led by Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel in Lal Bagh area, which is part of the Model Town assembly seat. Goel was conducting this event with his party candidate Ashok Goel and their supporters.

‘These workers of the Aam Aadmi Party created an unprecedented situation by getting in our way with black flags. We somehow quelled the anger of our workers, which prevented a violent struggle,’ said Vijay Goel, Delhi BJP chief.

‘This is a situation being created by Kejriwal to deliberately induce violence in the Delhi assembly elections, which so far have been peaceful,’ he added. Goel further cautioned leaders and candidates of various political parties in the fray to practice restraint in their political campaign.

Goel on Wednesday launched ‘Badlo Dilli’ road show from Lalbagh are in Model Town assembly constituency, which was flagged off by the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Harsh Vardhan. The road show will be taken to all constituencies in support of party candidates.

AAP  denounced these allegations. ‘I have nothing to do with the protest,’ the party spokesperson told Millennium Post. ‘This is my one line statement on the issue,’ he added, when asked to comment further on the protest. His party media in-charge however added that they are trying to collect information and will speak to media after that.

On Wednesday, Rakesh Agarwal, an AAP leader, had alleged that his party workers tried to sabotage his office on the instruction of senior leaders.
