The last day of Assembly proceedings started on stormy note on Tuesday with BJP MLAs accusing the Speaker for curtailing the opposition’s right to ask questions regarding their locality, under Section 280 of Rules of Procedure of the Delhi Assembly.

The legislators alleged that their right to debate during zero hour was scrapped by the Speaker. Before the speaker announced his vote of thanks on L-G’s speech, BJP legislator’s stood up and demanded for the initiation of Zero-Hour proceedings.

BJPs chief whip Jagdish Mukhi went on to slam the AAP government for not providing details over some of the decisions they’ve taken. He termed the L-G’s speech as emotional and not factual. He further derided AAP by saying, ‘Your government in not with the aam aadmi, so we can’t call you Aam Aadmi Party. We’ll call it A-2 party’.
