The BJP state in-charge of Bihar and MP Bhupendra Yadav on Thursday hit out at the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav over his comment on the Gaya road rage case. Tejashwi had on Wednesday said, “If a road rage incident in Bihar is called ‘jungle raj’, then the maximum number of road rage incidents occur in Delhi, isn’t that jungle raj?”
Bhupendra said, “He (Tejashwi Yadav) is too young. He does not understand the difference between terrorism and jungle raj”. On Monday, the Bihar Deputy CM had expressed grief over the death of a youth in Gaya in a road rage case, but alleged that “BJP supported media” was ere targeting the state government through words like “jungle raj.”
In a program, “Dil ki Baat”, which is run by him, Tejashwi said: “The BJP and media supported by the party are advertising the Gaya incident in a way as if it is rare and the first incident of road rage. If a relative of any accused is a member of a party (it) does not mean that the lawbreaker enjoys the protection of the power that be,” Yadav said.
BJP spokesperson Srikant Sharma also condemned the current law & order situation of Bihar and said, “Tejasvi and Nitish who cannot control his party cadres, how can they control the state’s law & order situation?”
Sharma also criticized the Bihar govt’s role to arrest Rocky Yadav, son of JDU MLC and said, “They have taken more time unnecessarily to arrest Rocky Yadav”.
