The Bharatiya Janata Party has called for a nationwide protest on November 21, but it is the national capital Delhi, where the party has focussed its resources. There are six leaders of the party that will be leading the protests here in Delhi.
Senior leaders like Murli Manohar Joshi, Rajnath Singh, Mukhtar Abaas Naqvi will be leading from the front in the capital. Apart from the above non Delhi leaders, the list also has the name of Vijay Goel, Vijay Kumar Malhotra and Vijender Gupta all Delhi based leaders who will be part of these protests. Surprisingly, Arun Jaitley does not finds his name on the list of leaders who will be leading the march here in Delhi, the leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha will be in Mumbai to lead the party.
The other interesting aspect is that only the BJP leaders from Delhi have been given their home state, while other leaders have either been assigned some other states. However, there are few exceptions like Venkaiah Naidu who have been assigned Hyderabad.
‘The elections are due in Delhi next year and the party wants to start building its campaign for that’ says a Delhi based leader while justifying the presence of so many leaders in the capital. BJP leaders say that their campaign has already been dented to some extent by Arvind Kejriwal and now they do not want to lose out.
