Delhi BJP has demanded that Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit discloses the name of the person who allegedly offered her cash for ticket.
The party has termed it as ‘culture’ of Congress party and demanded clarification about the incident.
It is a universal knowledge that tickets are sold in the Congress party but this is the first time that a Chief Minister has admitted the fact. It also exposes the Congress culture,’ said Vijay Goel, Delhi BJP president. He also alleged the Chief Minister of protecting the corrupt. He further alleged that she had been named in several corruption cases in the city.
Dikshit in an interview to an English daily had revealed that she was offered bribe by a person who was aspiring to get the party nomination in Delhi Assembly elections.
Leader of opposition V K Malhotra said that Dikshit must disclose the name of the person who had offered the bribe.
CORRIGENDUM
In the news report on police action against BJP agitators outside the Prime Minister’s residence (dated 13 May, 2013), we had reported the use of tear gas shells against the 200 activists of BJP’s youth wing who were demonstrating at the protest venue. Delhi police has, however, clarified that at no point of time did they use tear gas shells during the protest to disperse the protesters, and only used water canons for the same. We deeply regret the error in reporting.
