Shah said this while addressing a rally in eastern Indian state Bihar’s Seemanchal region, where BJP had lost during the Lok Sabha polls though it had swept the rest of the state.
Claiming that people of Bihar had anger for the grand alliance of JD(U)-RJD-Congress, he said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a BJP-led NDA government is set to be formed. Bihar will see a tsunami of development.”
Recalling the glorious ancient history of Bihar, he said an NDA government will ensure that industries are set up in the state and people do not have to migrate in search of jobs.
“On one shoulder of Kumar is (RJD chief) Lalu Prasad who is a symbol of jungle raj while corrupt Congress is on his other shoulder. He is just a mascot for them,” he said.
Though the Muslim-dominated region is going to polls in the last phase on November 5, the BJP is pulling out all stops to put up a strong show here as it seen as a weak link by the party in its quest to capture power in the state where it has never ruled as the dominant partner.
Shah, who had also addressed a meeting with party workers in Muzaffarpur town, said there that the Bihar Chief Minister won’t be able to bring development by carrying two allies, Congress and RJD, on his shoulders.
Modi not keen in bringing back black money: Lalu
Firing a salvo at BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi days ahead of Bihar polls, RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Sunday charged that the ruling party at the Centre had no intention of bringing back black money as it had promised it would.
The former Bihar chief minister alleged that Modi was more interested in shielding his capitalist friends and BJP leaders than mopping up unaccounted money stashed away abroad.
“BJP does not want to bring <g data-gr-id="54">black</g> money back because all the millions and billions of rupees belonged to the capitalist friends of Modi and BJP leaders,” Lalu said in a tweet on Sunday.
Prasad further said that the saffron outfit was fighting a losing battle with the help of “black money power” in Bihar.
“Bihar me <g data-gr-id="67">hatash</g>, <g data-gr-id="68">udas</g>, <g data-gr-id="69">nirash</g> ho <g data-gr-id="70">chuki</g> BJP <g data-gr-id="71">hari</g> <g data-gr-id="72">huyi</g> <g data-gr-id="73">ladai</g> ko <g data-gr-id="74">apne</g> kale <g data-gr-id="75">dhan</g> <g data-gr-id="76">ke</g> <g data-gr-id="77">nange</g> <g data-gr-id="78">nach</g> <g data-gr-id="79">se</g> <g data-gr-id="80">jitna</g> <g data-gr-id="81">chahti</g> hai. <g data-gr-id="47">Bihariyon</g> ne thana hai, Bhajpa ko <g data-gr-id="48">bhagana</g> hai (The dejected, sad and disappointed BJP wants to win a losing battle using black money power. But Biharis have made up their mind this time to defeat BJP),” he said in another tweet.
