Noida: 26-yr-old with travel history to Indonesia, tests positive

Noida: A 26-year-old youth, resident of Sector 41 area in Noida has been tested positive for COVID-19, raising the count of persons suffering from Coronavirus to four in Noida.

As per district health officials, he has a travelling history from Indonesia earlier in the month and witnessed complaints of cold and prolonged fever. "Swab samples of a man, resident of Sector 41 area, was taken around four days ago and on Wednesday he was confirmed positive with Coronavirus based on the reports received from laboratory," Dr Anurag Bhargav, Chief Medical Officer, Gautam Buddh Nagar, said.

"We have shifted the patient to Greater Noida Institute of Medical Science (GIMS) for quarantine where he will be put on anti-viral therapy. We expect him to recover from the disease as he is young and stable," the CMO added.

Earlier on Tuesday, two persons, including a woman with a travel history to France, were tested positive with COVID-19 virus.
