Ahmedabad: Four days after the murder of Hindu Samaj Party leader Kamlesh Tiwari in Lucknow, Gujarat police on Tuesday arrested two of the accused from the Gujarat-Rajasthan border near Shamalaji. This takes the total number of people arrested in the case to five.
According to police, preliminary questioning of the accused - Ashfaq Hussain (34) and Moinuddin Pathan (27) - revealed that they had committed the crime to avenge certain statements claimed to have been made by the victim. They allegedly travelled to Nepal before entering Gujarat.
