Sena passes resolution to stop Shinde camp from using party's, Balasaheb's name
Mumbai: The national executive of the Shiv Sena, a meeting of which was chaired by CM Uddhav Thackeray today afternoon, passed a resolution stating that no one would be allowed to use the name of the party or Balasaheb Thackeray to form a new group. This came after Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, decided to name his faction "Shiv Sena Balasaheb".
Meanwhile, amid rising political tension, Mumbai Police on Saturday imposed Section 144 in the city till July 10. The Thane District Administration had previously imposed Sec 144 CrPC in the district.
