New Delhi: Seven dogs that included puppies were found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the premises of Kargil Apartment in Dwarka on Monday. Police claimed that they had registered a case in this regard. Meanwhile, an eyewitness claimed that the canines had injury marks, while police suspect this to be the handiwork of some demented killer. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse said that the incident came to light after they received a PCR call regarding the incident which happened inside the premises of a housing society. Police personnel from Dwarka North reached the spot and called the veterinary van.
Meanwhile, a disturbing photo that has gone viral on social media shows several dogs lying dead inside a residential complex.
A Facebook user claimed that the carcasses bore injury marks. Sourav Gupta, a representative from PFA, claimed that the dogs were brutally attacked. "Due to the attack with some sharp weapon, their intestines came out," added Gupta. "The animals were sent to Dabri Veterinary Hospital where the doctor declared them dead, and a post-mortem has been conducted," said the DCP adding that a preliminary enquiry into the matter is being conducted. To get further clues in the case, the local police are scanning CCTV footage.
