Bharti Arora shunted after report to DGP Haryana

The Joint Commissioner of Police (Gurgaon) Bharti Arora was transferred and posted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (Welfare and Training) at the police headquarters- Panchkula by the Haryana government.

The Joint CP was shunted during a late-evening reshuffle and Sulochana Kumari, a 2010 IPS officer will be joining as the new JCP of Gurgaon effective immediately.

After a spat between the two tops-Arora and Navdeep Singh Virk (CP) of Gurgaon Police, the Director General of Haryana had asked to probe the investigation. This was a result of Arora’s leveling of serious allegations against Virk of harassing, mental torture and interference in a <g data-gr-id="26">high profile</g> rape case.

The Director General (crime), KP Singh was asked to investigate the case and submit a report to the DGP Haryana within seven days. The report was submitted on Friday to Yashpal Singhal, DGP Haryana. It was three days after the submission of the report that Arora was shunted and transferred while Virk still stays in his place as the Commissioner.

The Patiala court of Delhi also ordered an FIR followed by the complaint registered by Sub-Inspector Sanjeev Chaudhary.

Sanjeev Chaudhary has filed a complaint as he alleged that his email account was hacked as he had sent an email to a complainant in the rape case. In regard to this, the Patiala court in Delhi ordered to register an FIR “under appropriate sections of the law”.

The women, who <g data-gr-id="33">has</g> allegedly sent an email from Chaudhary’s account is the complainant in the Ajay Bhardwaj rape case. Metropolitan Magistrate Akash Jain has directed the SHO of Vasant Vihar to file an FIR against the complainant in the rape case. Chaudhary in his complaint alleged offences of fabricating evidence, criminal conspiracy and impersonation.

A total of 11 transfers <g data-gr-id="29">have</g> been issued by the Haryana government. Another IPS Hemant Kalson was posted as SP (Railways) and has been given additional charge of SP (Telecom).
