Banners of PM, Shah must be removed from Patna airport: Grand alliance to EC
Leaders from the grand alliance in Bihar on Wednesday urged the Election Commission (EC) to order the removal of banners and posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah from the Patna airport, saying they are “flagrant violation of norms”. A delegation comprising KC Tyagi (JD-U), RPN Singh (Congress), Manoj Jha (RJD) along with lawyer KTS Tulsi submitted a memorandum to the Chief Election Commissioner giving details of such posters and banners carrying the pictures of BJP leaders and its election symbol at the airport. “The delegation has told the EC that airports and railway stations have been used by the ruling party at the Centre for its propaganda in the state where Assembly polls are underway,” Congress leader RPN Singh said.
