Bank of India’s Q3 profit rises 12% to Rs 803 crore

State-owned Bank of India (BoI) on Monday reported a 12.20 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 803.48 crore for third quarter ended 31 December 2012.

The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 716.15 crore for the same quarter of last fiscal.

Total income of the bank increased to Rs 8,959.83 crore during the October-December quarter from Rs 8,002.27 crore in the year-ago period, BoI said in a BSE filing.

For the first nine months of FY2012-13 ended December, 2012, the bank has clocked 15.54 per cent rise in net profit, to Rs 1,992.76 crore, from Rs 1,724.79 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.

The bank reported a total income of Rs 26,409.41 crore in the first three quarters (April-December) against Rs 23,024.11 crore in the same period last financial year.
