Bakery owner found killed in Sultanpuri area

A businessman, aged approximately 30, was found brutally murdered in the Sultanpuri area of outer Delhi on Monday morning. The victim’s three helpers, who are absconding are suspected to have committed the crime. Cash worth Rs 50,000 is also missing.
The victim, who has been identified as Mohammad Asik, owned a bakery in the area. The body was discovered by the victim's brother at approximately 4 am who called and informed the police about the incident.

According to the police, it seems that the victim had been brutally beaten with a hammer on Sunday night by the three helpers, who then ran away with Rs. 50,000.

The man hails from the Najeena village of Bijnor district of Uttar pradesh and had been living with his family in the Sultanpuri area for the past many years. 'We received a call from the victim’s brother at approximately 4.15 am and a team of police officials rushed to the spot,’ said the police official who was on duty. The residence of the victim was in the same building as the bakery

A case has been registered against the three absconding workers at the Sultanpuri police station under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and police is further investigating the case.
A man-hunt is on to nab the absconding workers. 'We are waiting for the post-mortem report to reach a final decision in the case,’ said the police official investigating the case.
