Condemning the demolition of a temple in Karachi, Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Friday appealed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to immediately take up the issue with the Pakistan government.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, Badal said the sentiments of the Hindu community had been gravely hurt by the razing of Sri Ram Pir Mandir at Soldier Bazaar in Karachi, a century old temple.
He sought the personal intervention of Singh in this regard.
He also hoped that necessary legal action would be initiated by Pakistan against the accused.
