An honest bus driver hit the headlines in Austria on Thursday after handing over to police 390,000 euros (USD 510,000) in cash that an old lady had forgotten on his vehicle. ‘We are proud to have such upstanding employees. This shows the spirit of our firm,’ Eduard Winter, head of Vienna’s public transport company Wiener Linien, told the Kronen-Zeitung daily. In an incident last month and confirmed by police on Wednesday, Wolfgang R stumbled across the bag stuffed with 500-euro notes during a routine check of his bus.
